Power: utilities, renewable producers, transmission and storage
Power comes first. A 100 MW AI campus needs a dedicated high-voltage connection, contracted renewable supply and storage before anything else can follow.
What the project needs
Phase 1 needs a dedicated high-voltage connection, likely 230 kV or 400 kV, with contracted renewable supply and storage. The State utilities decide the connection, and private generators can supply contracted renewable power.
The project has asked the State for a transmission study, which will set the connection route, and a transmission consultant is among the first partners the project approaches. The renewable supply discussions are among the first conversations too.
Who it suits
Organisations working in:
- Transmission and grid-connection consulting
- Renewable generation: solar, wind and hybrid
- Open access and group captive supply
- Round-the-clock renewable contracts
- Battery and grid-scale energy storage
- Independent power producers and power developers
How it connects to the campus
What to show
At registration, tell us about up to three comparable assignments, completed or in operation, with the year, location, your role, the scale in the measure that fits your discipline, the status and a way to verify it. Newer specialist firms are welcome to present documented pilots and the founding team's record, clearly labelled.
Grid interface and electrical design references, firm MW and availability, round-the-clock renewable contracts, voltage classes, storage MWh, power quality and outage history, and regulatory licences. One comparable connection, supply contract or storage project helps most: MW or MWh, voltage, location, year and your role.
How to take part
-
Register your interest
Tell us about your organisation and your area of interest.
-
A conversation
We will arrange a confidential discussion to explore fit and opportunities.
-
The data room
Selected organisations will be invited to a data room with further information.
Selected organisations receive, through the data room, the load and reliability assumptions and the grid-study request for information.
